Guangzhou, China — 2025 — Optimum Show is proud to announce our successful participation in the Opening Ceremony of the 15th National Games of the People’s Republic of China, held at the Guangdong Olympic Center. As the official water show technology provider for this national-level event, we designed and delivered a spectacular digital water performance that became one of the ceremony’s signature highlights.

For this prestigious project, Optimum Show supplied a complete integrated solution featuring our digital 1D fan jet nozzles, DMX512 intelligent lighting control system, and a fully custom-engineered “Water Cloud Ladder” cascade installation. These systems were seamlessly coordinated to create a water show that merged cutting-edge technology with artistic expression, presenting a powerful visual experience to millions of viewers across China.

Our team is honoured to contribute our expertise to such an important cultural and sporting event, showcasing the capabilities of Optimum Show’s advanced programmable fountain technologies on a national stage.

Digital 1D Fan Jet Technology Powers Dynamic Water Effects

For the Opening Ceremony, Optimum Show deployed our Digital 1D Fan Jet Nozzle System as a key component of the stage’s water-effect design. These digitally controlled nozzles were selected for their ability to produce clean, fan-shaped water patterns with highly consistent trajectories, allowing the water effects to visually complement the performance taking place on stage.

Each nozzle was integrated into a coordinated DMX512 control system, enabling precise adjustment of spray angles, timing, and sequencing. This setup ensured that water movements could be aligned smoothly with lighting cues and staging requirements throughout the live event.

Engineered for large-scale performance environments, the Digital 1D Fan Jet System provided:

  • Stable and uniform fan-shaped water effects suitable for wide-stage coverage
  • Fast response performance, meeting the timing demands of a live broadcast
  • Reliable continuous operation, essential for national-level ceremonies
  • Flexible programming, allowing the water effects to adapt to different segments of the show

By integrating these digital nozzles into the overall design, Optimum Show contributed a high-precision water-effect solution that supported the ceremony’s visual presentation and stage atmosphere.

Custom “Water Cloud Ladder” Cascade Installation Enhances the Stage Design

In addition to the digital nozzle system, Optimum Show provided a custom-designed “Water Cloud Ladder” cascade installation for the Opening Ceremony. This feature combined vertical structural elements with controlled water flow, creating a layered visual effect that integrated seamlessly into the stage architecture.

The installation was engineered to allow water to descend along stepped surfaces, forming a continuous cascading motion. When paired with stage lighting, the water created depth, texture, and movement across the performance area, supporting the director’s visual concept for the ceremony.

Key aspects of the Water Cloud Ladder system included:

  • Custom structural design tailored to the stage layout of the Guangdong Olympic Sports Center
  • Carefully calibrated water-flow control to ensure consistent cascade patterns throughout the event
  • Compatibility with performance lighting, allowing the water surface to capture and reflect color and movement
  • High operational stability, suitable for extended live-performance conditions

This bespoke cascade installation demonstrated Optimum Show’s ability to combine artistic requirements with engineering precision, delivering a water-feature solution that enhanced both the stage environment and the overall visual composition of the ceremony.

DMX512 Lighting and Fountain Control System Ensures Coordinated Stage Operation

To support the complex requirements of the Opening Ceremony, Optimum Show integrated a DMX512-based lighting and fountain control system across all water-effect components used on stage. This unified control architecture enabled reliable synchronization between the digital 1D fan jets, cascade installation, and the surrounding lighting environment.

The system provided operators with precise control over water-effect timing, intensity, and sequencing, ensuring consistent performance during the live broadcast. Through stable signal transmission and responsive execution, the DMX512 platform helped maintain continuity throughout different segments of the ceremony.

Key features of the control system included:

  • Centralized management of all digital water-effect components
  • Millisecond-level coordination between water movement and lighting cues
  • High signal stability, essential for large-scale televised events
  • Flexible programming capability for adapting to stage direction and run-through adjustments

By supplying the full control infrastructure, Optimum Show ensured that all water features operated smoothly as part of the ceremony’s broader technical system, contributing to the reliability and consistency required for a national event of this scale.

Meeting Live-Event Technical Demands with Reliable Performance

Delivering water-effect systems for a national opening ceremony required precise coordination, stable operation, and thorough preparation. Throughout the project, Optimum Show addressed multiple technical requirements to ensure reliable performance during the live broadcast.

Key considerations included:

  • Accurate timing alignment with stage cues
  • Consistent water-flow performance during continuous operation
  • Adaptation to outdoor environmental conditions such as humidity and wind
  • Coordination with stage, lighting, and broadcast teams to maintain smooth operation

To meet these demands, Optimum Show carried out system testing, equipment calibration, and on-site adjustments. The engineering team worked closely with production crews during rehearsals to ensure the water-effect systems remained stable, responsive, and ready for live performance.

This project also offered valuable practical experience in applying digital water-effect technology within a large, time-sensitive public event.
